I know it’s not an easy task finding the perfect videographer for your wedding. There are a gazillion wedding videographers out there who are competent at filming weddings. Not to say anyone can do it because, for certain, it takes a gifted eye with the experience to know when and where to be at the right time to capture the shot. But beyond the norm, there are the true video professionals. These individuals have a love affair with light and shadows; we understand mood, composition, and we know how to perform magic with our tools of the trade. Still, however far we are removed from the guy that’s learned how to field a videocamera, we are but one cog in the production of a wedding film. In the creation of an exceptional wedding film, numerous creative elements come into play: audio recording, audio mixing and, equally as important as the videography, editing. Editing is key in producing exceptional films. As the original owner of Digital Post, one of Los Angeles' foremost post production facilities, my company’s philosophy was simple: post it right. Great editing is an art that requires skilled hands, not unlike that of a great hair stylist. While anyone can pick up a pair of scissors and start chopping, it's only a select few who can create a fashion statement. And typically those few never cut corners, give it there all, and get paid a bit more than the stylist at your local Supercuts salon.
